Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) is planning to facilitate Big B Amitabh Bachchan, Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth, Telugu Megastar Chiranjeevi, legendary actor Kamal Hassan and many others on the occasion of the diamond Jubilee celebration of Kannada Film Industry. Names of Prakash Rai, Arjun Sarja, Murali, Bollywood actress Rekha, Ambika, Sarita, Khushboo, Geetha, Madhavi, Juhi Chawla and Shilpa Shetty are also included in the list. KFCC has decided to facilitate all these actor.
Dr. Jayamala, the president of KFCC, has prepared a list of 50 non-Kannada actors, who have served Kannada films by acting in Kannada films. Moreover the name of former Chief minister of Tamil Nadu Dr. Jayalalita is included in the list in order to recognise her service to Kannada films in the past. She will be invited for the function.
Amitabh Bachchan has made a guest appearance in Ramya-Dhyaan starrer Amritha Dhare. Rajinikanth has acted in SR Puttanna Kanagal's Katha Sangam and Sahodarara Sawal. Chiranjeevi has acted in Ravichandran's Sipayi. Kamal Hassan has appeared in Rama Shyama Bhama and Pushpak Viman. Karanataka based Prakash Rai, Arjuna Sarja and Murali have also acted in several Kannada movies. Many of these actors have been introduced to cinema field through Kannada films. And today they are shining on the horizon of other languages. So all these actors are invited for the function. Now Palace ground Bangalore is getting decorated for the facilitation function.
Playback singers like Dr. JK Yesudas, Dr. PB Shrinivas, Dr. SP Balasubramanyam, S Janaki, P Susheela, LR Ishwari and Vani Jayaram are also facilitated. Meanwhile 75 books on the people, who have dedicated themselves to Kannada Cinema, are released. Prof Bargur Ramchandrappa is the editor of all these books. Besides this, 108 popular Kannada film artists are also facilitated. Kannada film industry has already announced 15 days holiday to prepare all these events from February 17 to March 10. But this holiday is not applicable for screening of movies in theatres.
